Kyai Haji As'ad bin Humam, or K.H. As'ad Humam, (born in Yogyakarta, 1933, died in Yogyakarta, February 2, 1996, at the age of 63) was a pioneer of one of the fast methods of learning to read the Qur'an (qira-ah) which was popular as the Iqro method.

He inherited the blood of traders, and his profession before being active in teaching qira-ah was imitation jewelry traders in Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta. As'ad helps K.H. Dahlan Salim gave lessons to read the Qur'an to the students with the Qiroati method developed by K.H. Dahlan. To improve, often As'ad notes to improve the method. Because K.H.
